RE: Firearms & the Class A

I think keeping them unloaded and separate from ammunition is always a good idea as well. - Dave

RE: FM Converter for the Ipod to car radio

An easy way to eliminate the interference issue is to remove the existing antenna (or disconnect it whichever is easiest). I do this with my XM Roady2 and it works great. With the cassette option the only moving parts are the drive wheels in the player. Nothing in the adapter (or at least those that I've used) have moving parts. You do have to make sure that you adjust the adapter for the best sound. Sometimes it's by adjusting the offset on the adapter or by switching the player to forward or reverse. - Dave

RE: Jerking motion while pulling a fifth-wheel

Increasing your pin weight helps a lot. It's why me and many others run with a full fresh water tank (provided that the tank is front of the axles). You just want to make sure you don't exceed your TVs limit. It's also a good idea to lessen the weight behind the axles as much as you can. I try to always empty my grey/black tanks before leaving.

RE: Winter concerns...Black water tank

With the water supply off, flush the toilet and look into the tank. Most toilets have a straight shot to the tank. You'll see exactly how full it is. My bet it's empty. Good advice to take it to a SP or CG to dump it if needed.

RE: Do you remove toiletries for winterizing?

We used to leave everything in until we realized that some of the stuff was getting very old becuase we just don't use it a lot (like medicines, ointments, etc). So now we empty everything, use it up over the winter and replace everything come spring. We also make a list of everything that we take out so we know what needs to be replaced.

When I'm hooked up to the 5er, it's all about getting in and out. Yeah, I'll try to save if access is the same. - Dave

RE: Do you unplug your Prodigy Brake Controller?

Mine's be in there for over 3 years. I think the more times you plug/unplug the greater chance of problems arise. - Dave

RE: Adding Volume Slider on Screen?

You can remove the old speaker icon by right clicking on it and selecting "Adjust Audio Properties". On the Volume tab, uncheck "Place volume icon on task bar". - Dave

RE: Keeping Warm - safe and inexpensive.

Just remember, more electrical use = increased camping rates, so don't complain as rates rise. You don't actualy think it's free do you????

RE: over easy fried egg? HOW!!!

Covering the pan, using water, or spooning grease over them will NOT produce sunny side up eggs. Doing so cooks the top side of the egg which is not a sunny side up egg.
